Upcoming Earnings

The Upcoming Earnings component displays firms that have earnings announcements forthcoming. You can filter results for Canadian or U.S. markets, or even find if any of the firms in your watchlists have earnings.  You can also choose to display earnings announcements scheduled for today, the next 3 days, the next week or the next two weeks.

Results are shown in a list format with the following information provided in each column:

Ticker: The symbol of the security

C: The country of the market the security trades.  This is denoted by a flag

Q: The quality of the streaming quote. D – the quote is delayed by 15 minutes, R – the quote is real-time

Price: The last traded price of the symbol

Change: The dollar change of the last traded price relative to the previous day’s market closing price

Earnings Date: The day of the next earnings announcement for the company

Time: The point of time in relation to the Earnings Date when the earnings will be announced

  • Mkt Open: Earnings will be announced before market opens
  • Mkt Hours: Earnings will be announced during market hours
  • Mkt Close: Earnings will be announced after market closesA dash indicates that the service is unable to determine the time of the announcement.  Check the firm’s Investor Relations website to confirm when earnings will be announced.

Fiscal Period: The company’s reported fiscal quarter for the earnings announcement

Analyst Estimate: The consensus analyst earnings per share estimate for the upcoming earnings announcement.  This estimate uses adjusted earnings, and may include items not in standard GAAP or IFRS earnings

Last Year’s EPS: The adjusted earnings per share that the company reported during the same fiscal period last year

68% Range (+/-)*: The dollar range that, when added and subtracted from the last traded price, provides the price range the stock is expected to stay within 68% of the time through earnings. Based on the company’s implied volatility for the first options expiring after the earnings announcement date

95% Range (+/-)*: The dollar range that, when added and subtracted from the last traded price, provides the price range the stock is expected to stay within 95% of the time through earnings. Based on the company’s implied volatility for the first options expiring after the earnings announcement date
